While browsing through a cookbook at the home of a friend one day, Sharon came across a recipe for red snapper that called for native seasoning. When she inquired about this, her friend said it's not a seasoning you can buy in the store. He said every family in the US Virgin Islands has its own blend of native seasoning passed down from generation to generation. After he shared his recipe, Sharon went home to make the red snapper.  And it was a hit!

That was more than 20 years ago. Over the years, Sharon has adapted the recipe by mixing and matching her own unique blend of herbs and spices to come up with the perfect all-natural seasoning her family enjoys on seafood, chicken, vegetables, and even salad.

Sharon is a native New Yorker with roots in South Carolina’s Gullah region. She loves to cook and entertain family and friends. Her savory dishes are always a hit at neighborhood association meetings and church events. She lives with her family in Conyers, Georgia.
